This is the first guest feature on our website and the first product we didn’t create ourselves. We initially used Tim Teven’s vase as a prop in our photoshoot alongside the Neowise Side Table because it paired perfectly with our design. When the photos were released, people started asking where they could buy it. That’s when the idea came to feature this unique designer’s piece and introduce it to a wider audience.

Dutch designer Tim Teven, a graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, uses extreme pressure as a creative tool in his Pressure series.

Through the controlled deformation of metal, the process uncovers unique technical solutions while introducing new visual and tactile qualities.

Each vase starts as a steel tube, later exposed to forces of up to 45 metric tons. Under such immense load, the material folds beautifully, making the once rigid and cold metal appear soft and almost fluid. These folds not only create the vase’s distinctive look but also secure the bottom disc, completing its functional transformation.
