Dry clean
To maintain the softness and shape of merino wool, it is advisable to have it professionally dry cleaned, as it is a delicate fiber.

Hand washing
The best way to wash a merino wool blanket is by hand in cold or lukewarm water with a mild, wool-safe detergent. Avoid hot water, which can cause shrinking or felting.

Machine washing
If using a washing machine, choose the delicate or wool cycle with cold water. Place the blanket in a mesh laundry bag to reduce agitation.

Use wool-specific detergent
Use a detergent formulated for wool to protect its fibers. Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or fabric softeners, as these can damage the fibers.

Drying
Air Dry: Lay the blanket flat on a clean, dry towel in its natural shape to air dry. Avoid hanging, as the weight of the wet blanket can stretch and distort the wool.

Avoid Heat: Keep the blanket away from direct sunlight, heaters, or tumble dryers, which can shrink or damage the fibers.

Refreshing
Merino wool is naturally odor-resistant and doesn’t require frequent washing. Simply airing out the blanket between uses can help keep it fresh.
